"Coco di mama" has nothing to do with coconut or chocolate, in fact it came from eggs. From its origin, this is how the hen love, protect and nurture her eggs. It is an Italian expression meaning a mother's affection to her child normally a boy. In plain English this is also known as "mama's boy".
At a young age, I know I was never been nanay's favorite son but this does not mean I love her less. We are five siblings and fortunately/unfortunately I landed as the third installment child. Some says the third child is always the mean, naughty and problematic. Well, I should say they are both right and wrong. They are right because when I am growing up, the last two characteristics are the most identified to me. They are wrong because now I can say that I grew to be prudent but still problematic!
The five of us have reached our own successes in life, the two girls found love and blessed with wonderful children. Kuya and Leo the eldest and the youngest found their own respective attachment to something, something I wish not to discuss further. Let me say that I can do things that I desire. I can go to places most people just dream of. All because I am the third child. :)
So if you feel you are not the coco di mama try not to feel bad, because all siblings are born equal.

Hi Derek, I am an exaple of coco the mamma, i think it.s written cocco. Since I am the only boy it wasn't difficult, I imagine it's a bigger challange in a big family as yours. Maybe you can do something to become coconut :-P of your mother?
